Speeding concerns at Pantlasau / Pryderion cyflymder ar Pantlasau |
||
|
We have received concerns from residents of Pantlasau and Vivians row via the local Councillor of speeding at the location. It's reported that vehicles are regularly exceeding the 30mph speed limit. PCSO Thomas and I attended the location today (11/09/26 at 14:45hrs) with the hand held speed camera to carry out a speed scoping exercise. We recorded the speed of 70 passing vehicles. The average speed recorded was 25.5mph. Only seven vehicles exceeded the 30mph speed limit, with three of them recorded travelling at 31mph. We do appreciate that our presence caused the vehicles to drive slower and that the exercise may not highlight the true extent of the issue. We urge residents to log their concerns at www.gosafe.org/report/community-concern We plan to re-attend the location in the near future, differing the date and time.
